Art Event at Portsmouth Cathedral

I'm keeping myself busy down in Portsmouth before travelling back to Derby to take down my show and reinstall it at the Wirksworth Festival. Last night I went to the opening of Seran Kubisa's exhibition, 'Treasure Isalnd: A Forensic Investigation of a City' at Portsmouth Cathedral. The Caravan Gallery from Portsmouth will also be there for the second year running.

John Moores Painting Prize

The John Moores final shortlist has been announced. Forty artists were selected from a record 3,222 entries. With odds like this it's a tough competition. Many of these big BIG opens are attracting record entries. Recently the Jerwood Drawing Prize attracted over 3,000 artists (over 4,000 drawings), so many individuals in search of the recognition and prestige of these opens - the odds are pretty high to win the prize money! Find out more about the John Moores shortlist here.
