Last night I went to the preview of WORK PLAY an exhibition by Jeannie Driver. The exhibition investigates the relationship between Jeannie's personal approach to her practice and the public profile of her work through new artworks that provide different arenas for audience interaction.

The installation at SPACE is derived from a body of work, in particular SPIKE IT, where the objects were created in a working environment through a process questioning usual routines at work. The objects were placed to encourage new dialogue, thinking and action. In this exhibition the objects are given a new context by being placed in a gallery.

The exhibition continues until 7th April - weekdays only 10am - 4pm
at SPACE, University of Portsmouth, Eldon Building, Winston Churchill Avenue, Portsmouth

In retrospect III

For a second:

Going home:

Mother and child, divided:

In retrospect II

Inside Out:

Come and play with us:

Sentimental bitches:

In retrospect I

Sometimes I find it valuable to investigate the common threads that link then with now.
