Cocooned...

I had a productive afternoon in the studio. The sunshine was coming in through the skylight which created wonderful light and warmth. I felt lovely and cocooned whilst outside the strong (and rather chilly) wind was whirling and gusting ... the roof creaked and rattled above me; quite apt as I painted stormy skies.

I feel so fortunate to have this studio - the best one yes - I LOVE it!

London...

I'm still in good spirits from a recent trip to London where I managed to fit in many galleries. Once again I was impressed by the two exhibitions at Flowers, Edward Burtynsky and Julie Cockburn. I was particularly taken by Julie Cockburn's work.

I also managed to see the Damien Hirst at Tate Modern. Although I have seen a lot of his work in the past, I was pleased that I had the opportunity to see this exhibition. Although a little stomach churning in places (I don't envy the person who has to clean the congealed blood off the floor from the cow's head ;-) However, I am extremely squeamish. I'm also sure the shark has shrunk - probably just my imagination.

More soon...
